We do research and development for solar stills and provide free plans to enable you to build a WATERMAKER for the most efficient and easiest to use local water desalination/detoxification. You can download the step by step maker manual for the Watermaker Automatic now.
Free Support
In addition to the Maker Manual, we will support you in building WATERMAKERs with a Maker Forum (from June 2024) and a step by step video tutorial (from June 2024). In addition, the medium-term plan is to offer support in financing material costs by carrying out social funding for those in need.
Free Recycling
We develope recycling paths to for a further use of the brine left over from the desalination process. The first step will be free plans for simple DIY salt batteries to store electricity for the next coming WATERMAKER Hybrid. Later tanker trucks shall bring seawater to villages and take the brine with them.

The WATERMAKER Mod 2024 is the solar-powered basic version. It‘s ready to build now, you can download the maker manual with plans, building instructions and parts list now and get started. Reference manufacturing, as the subject of the 3FREE.org YouTube tutorials for building WATERMAKER, will begin shortly. The basic version can be upgraded to a hybrid model in order to use electrical energy in addition to solar radiation to increase the drinking water yield.
WATERMAKER Hybrid: Featuring a high-efficiency DIY wind turbine, this upgrade adds wind energy (or any available electrical energy) to the Watermaker to heat the salt water in the pool in addition to the sun. This means that desalination can also take place at night or on cloudy days. This will significantly increase the drinking water yield and efficiency per square meter of water area.
Expected release: Fall 2024
WATERMAKER Hybrid IOT: This upgrade integrates sensors with simple single-board computers, such as Raspberry PI, to be able to regulate the salt water level in the distillation tank at least ten times more precisely than with the mechanical solution from Mod 2024. This drastically increases efficiency again. In addition, the regulation of electricity storage and direct heat generation should be regulated on this basis.
